There have been a few exciting changes in our company structure over recent months.
At the beginning of November 2020, Andrea Bishop and Mike Thomas were promoted to directorship positions. As Business Operations Director, Andrea now heads up our business support and field operations teams, including HR, finance, quality and contract management, while Mike takes on responsibility for our customer relationships and new business development as Commercial Director. He’s also the driving force behind our new chlorine dioxide decontamination service.
More recently, in fact in mid-February this year, James Clarke joined the team as Operations Manager. James brings his valuable mechanical engineering expertise in the progressive oil & gas sector to Validair, along with more recent experience in cleanroom design and construction as a key member of the WHP project delivery team on the Oxford Biomedica expansion programme. That’s where he got to know us. James is looking to streamline some of our management and administrative procedures and is already involved in the growth of the business, notably by interviewing prospective new engineers (we are always interested to hear from good engineers) and recruiting successful candidates as well as formulating strategic plans for the reorganisation of our Darlington HQ.
And that brings us to news of expansion at Validair Diamond Scientific. It’s good to be able to report that our contract book is looking very healthy for 2021 such that we are now actively recruiting. We will also be investigating the abundant business opportunities that exist across our territories, including Northern England and north of the border in Scotland. More on these initiatives and the growth of our service resources in due course.
